I came across this article the other day saying that parents are buying their kids pyjamas and toys this Easter instead of eggs.
They know that chocolate is a ‘sometimes’ food so eggs are out. And apparently the kids are ok with it.
So tell me this. You’re all geared up for the Easter bunny to come. You’ve been good for at least a couple of hours, you go to bed early and wake up to…………..PJ’s – like seriously! PJ’s – yeah ripper.
That’s what I’d be after – PJ’s not eggs!
Ya know what, when you get eggs for the kids for Easter, I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t let them eat them all at once hey. You as parents should probably set some limits right? PJ’s – look, the boys are going to wake up and find that the Easter bunny has been, they can have a couple of small eggs in the morning, then we’re off to skate school, then they can have a few more during the day then the rest will sit in the fridge for the next couple of months – that’s how it goes.
See, because I am a parent, I tell the boys when they can and can’t have chocolate. Because they are my boys, they also know that they need to ask us for something to eat but they also have some self-control.
Does giving PJ’s for Easter mean that the kids don’t have the self-control, or is it the kids?
Happy Easter Y’all!!! Enjoy ya eggs!!!
